Support Staff – 1:1 Part Time (Kaiapoi)
- 48 hours per fortnight
- One weekend off
- Located in Kaiapoi
- $24.35 - $29.54 per hour (depending on qualifications)
About the role:
Are you a compassionate Support Worker, Caregiver, or Healthcare Assistant looking for a rewarding role in disability support?
We’re seeking a motivated Support Staff - Part-Time member to join our team in Kaiapoi, providing 1:1 support to a vibrant and active woman in a residential home setting.
You will need to be able to use your initiative and recognise when she requires quiet time and or potentially engage in activities, outings, domestic chores and things that provide opportunities for growth and development. A patient and engaging demeanour will ensure you develop a trusting bond with this delightful lady.
You may also support other residents with their day-to-day activities, contributing to a positive and inclusive home environment.
About You
You are caring, reliable, and passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
You’ll ideally have:
- NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 2 or higher), or experience as a Support Worker / Caregiver / Healthcare Assistant
- Full New Zealand driver licence (essential)
- Strong communication and relationship-building
- Good computer literacy
- A genuine commitment to person-centred, respectful care
