Senior Support Staff – Full Time (Wigram)
Location: Christchurch
Hours: Full-time 80 hours per fortnight with Friday & Sat off
Are you an experienced Support Worker ready to grow your career? We’re looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Senior Support Staff member to join our residential team in Wigram.

About the Role
As a Senior Support Staff member, you’ll have the opportunity to use your skills and experience to provide exceptional support to people with learning disabilities enabling them to live fulfilling, independent lives in a safe, warm, and home‑like environment.
You’ll be role modelling best practice while encouraging and supporting other team members. You will be part of a supportive and respectful team culture with strong leadership and clinical backup.

What you’ll be doing
Your day will include a mix of practical assistance and meaningful connection, including:
- Supporting daily routines (shopping, meal preparation, household tasks)
- Providing personal care respectfully and safely
- Supporting community activities and outings
- Encouraging independence, choice, and wellbeing
- Provide support, encouragement and guidance to other support staff
What you will bring
- A positive, respectful attitude toward supporting people with learning disabilities
- Experience providing disability support
- NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 3 or above) or equivalent
- Eagerness to continue learning and developing as a Support Staff member
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
What you must have
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence (essential)
- The right to work in New Zealand
