Permanent Relief Support Staff – Full Time
Location: Christchurch
Pay Rate: $25.99 – $31.10 per hour (depending on qualifications)
Availability: Must be available to work weekends and a variety of shifts
About the Role
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Permanent Relief Team
(PRT). This team provides support across all shift types, including days,
afternoons, evenings, overnight (awake night shift), split shifts, and
weekends.
In this role, you’ll play a vital part in the lives of people with learning disabilities—supporting them with everyday activities such as shopping, cooking, household tasks, personal care, and community participation.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with a genuine passion for supporting others, who brings
flexibility, compassion, and reliability to the role. Ideally, you will have:
- An NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 2 (or equivalent), or at least one year of relevant experience
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer literacy
- A positive and respectful approach to working with people with learning disabilities
